Following the collection of preliminary data, a pure tone test will be administered to determine the extent of nerve-related hearing loss. Rest assured, none of these tests are invasive. Once a baseline is established, speech and speech discrimination testing will be conducted to assess your potential success with new hearing instruments.
Consultation
Upon confirmation that a hearing device can enhance your hearing abilities and quality of life in challenging listening environments, we will discuss potential treatment solutions. At this stage, the comprehensive background information collected earlier, including lifestyle, expectations, capabilities, and financial considerations, will be taken into account. It is crucial to align the appropriate hearing aid with these factors to ensure optimal results tailored to your specific preferences and requirements.
Results
After choosing a hearing system, it will be custom ordered to meet your specific requirements, including shape, size, and color. Upon the arrival of the hearing aid, a hearing aid delivery appointment will be scheduled. This significant occasion involves fitting the hearing aid, providing instructions on operating the device, as well as guidance on insertion, removal, and basic maintenance.
Follow Up
After receiving your hearing instruments, you will experience various adjustments. Follow-up appointments play a crucial role during this period. It is essential to attend as many follow-up visits as needed to ensure your satisfaction with the new hearing system. Typically, individuals have 2 to 3 follow-ups within two months. Once you feel comfortable, you are good to go. However, we strongly recommend scheduling check-ups every 6 months to maintain the optimal condition and functionality of your hearing aids.
